FAUX FINISHES
Scene to be Seen painted faux finishes uses both classic
and traditional techniques while being flexible enough to compliment
surroundings without compromising them. Our painted faux finishes
can be applied in various mediums making them applicable to many
painted surfaces including wood, metal, decorative fibrous plaster-caste
items, plastered walls and furniture.
FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS
Furniture and furnishings may be painted on site or in our studio
workshop. We have a wide range of skills from very simple and
subtle broken colour and distressed type finishes to faux finishes
and elaborate decorative artworks. Inexpensive furniture can be
made to look elegant and unique by applying these types of finishes.
GOLD LEAF AND GUILDING
Scene to be Seen offers gold and metal leaf finishes
covering anything from decorative fibrous plasterwork to the leafing
and toning of entire walls and ceilings to decorative furniture
and furnishings.
MURALS
We have experience in designing and painting murals
and creating trompe l’oiel illusions. From scenic sky-scapes
to aged and distressed nautical maps transforming entire interior
rooms and exterior surfaces, our work covers a diverse array of
subjects and styles. Produced either in-situ or at the Scene
to be Seen studio.
SCULPTURE
Scene to be Seen has been involved with bespoke commercial
sculptures and collaborative design with both small to large projects
using a variety of different mediums and materials.
SPECIALIST FINISHES
Plaster
Scene to be Seen specialist plaster finishes include
a wide variety of smooth polished and textured plaster finishes.
An excellent and comprehensive choice of textures and colours
is available including those colours in the Resene Milano colour
range. Encompassing everything from colour matching to more artistic
applications.
Paint
Our specialist paint finishes range is ideal for use on busy,
fast track projects. With acrylic medium being the preferred application
for most of these finishes, they are faster drying and thus less
vulnerable to accidental damage during application. These finishes
are readily repairable, colour-fast and easily protected with
acrylic varnishes and waxes, leaving a strong, durable finish
on painted surfaces.
